Churros mit Rainbow Pancake Backmischung
Churros are a traditional Iberian pastry that we know mainly from markets and food stalls and that has similarities with the doughnuts that are more widespread here. Churros can also be easily made at home with our colorful baking mixes (we have chosen the matcha variety).
How to do? We explain here 😁
Ingredients for the churros:
- 100ml water
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 15g butter
- 80g pancake mix (in this case: matcha)
- 1 egg
- oil
- granulated sugar
Preparation:
First, put the water, milk and butter together in a pot and melt the butter over medium heat.
As soon as fine bubbles form and the mixture comes to a boil, take the pot off the stove and add the pancake mixture and mix well. Once the mixture is well blended, put the pot back on the stove and continue stirring over medium heat.
When the batter begins to stiffen, you can turn off the heat and remove the saucepan from the heat. Then you can whisk the eggs and gradually add them and stir them in.
Then place the finished dough in a piping bag with a star-shaped opening (or other shape) and squeeze the dough out onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Grease the dough with a brush and bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ for about 20 - 25 minutes.
After baking, sprinkle the churros with granulated sugar and they are ready to serve.
TIP: The churros can also be dipped in melted chocolate and then eaten 🤗.
